    Job Title: Manual Pack Operator** **Job Description

     

    As a Manual Pack Operator, you will be instrumental in assembling boxes and packing final brick bags, instructions, and other items into packaging for shipment. You will work in an assembly line format, standing shoulder to shoulder with colleagues for 12-hour shifts, ensuring the smooth operation of the production line.

    Responsibilities

    + Manually assemble boxes and pack products for shipment.

    + Ensure machines are maintained in good condition and work area is tidy.

    + Perform all positions involved in the production line process.

    + Report on production line performance with crisp and constant measures.

    + Comply with quality standards and report any issues or failures.

    + Maintain constant flow of the line to avoid unplanned downtimes.

    + Achieve standard hourly production results.

    + Complete line operation reporting, including TPM, 5S, QAs, and Line Release Audit.

    + Collaborate with peers to maintain excellent communication and uphold company values.

    + Support changeovers, quality inspections, and machine cleaning.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in packaging, production, and production equipment.

    + Knowledge of quality inspection and quality standards.

    + Experience in material handling, labeling, and warehouse packing.

    + 1-2 years in production or manufacturing roles.

    + Experience with assembly line and repetitive tasks.

    + Ability to stand for 8-12 hour shifts.

    + Quality control, quality assurance, and inventory management skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma/GED preferred.

    + Capability to assemble a box in less than 2 seconds.

    + Ability to lift 50 lbs when loading boxes onto pallets.

    + Experience in environments where performance is measured.

    + No unexplained large gaps in employment history.

    Work Environment

    Work in a very clean, state-of-the-art facility in Colonial Heights, with a climate-controlled environment at approximately 72 degrees. The facility includes packaging operations and a logistics department, with plans for expansion in Chester by 2026. You will be provided a locker for personal belongings, with cell phones to be kept in lockers or cars. A canteen/breakroom is available with food and drink machines.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Colonial Heights, VA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.15 - $19.15/hr.
