Job Title: Cook** **Job Description

Prepare food in accordance with federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations, while adhering to established policies and procedures. Ensure quality food service is provided at all times.

Responsibilities

+ Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery, and service schedules.

+ Serve meals or prepare for delivery by using correct portioning, ensuring food is at the correct temperature, and ensuring it is attractive and tasty.

+ Use established ticket collection procedures during service and maintain records from the area worked during service periods.

+ Clean the kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and store or discard excess food according to safe food-handling procedures.

+ Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat, ensuring food and supply items are stored per standards.

+ Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.

+ Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting as required.

+ Assist in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as necessary.

+ Report needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor, and participate in service and safety meetings.

+ Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.

+ Perform the job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

This position is located in a cafeteria and may be customer-facing. The dress code requires black pants, a collared shirt, black slip-resistant shoes, and prohibits fake lashes, fake nails, facial piercings, and unnatural hair colors. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 6:30 am to 5:00 pm, with the potential for overtime and weekend work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Southaven, MS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.50 - $15.50/hr.
