Description

The tool room technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing the dies on 2nd & 3rd shift. They will be responsible for the repairs in the press as well as in the tool room. They are in need of an individual with 7+ years of experience that can come in and hit the ground running on the 3rd shift.

They are looking for candidates to do the following:

- maintain and repair dies in the stamping presses (2x 2200 schuler presses, 1x 750 ton, 2x 500 ton)

- be able to diagnose and troubleshoot the fingers of the press

- experience of doing lock out tag out and getting up and into the press to troubleshoot broken punches (two main problems)

- Certified in Cranes / Hi Lo / Forkllift

- Experience with utilizing press gages for tool & die set up

- Ability to assist in training and teaching alongside the Die Setters to familiarize them with some of the processes

1x Tool room lead, 1x 2nd shift, 1x 3rd shift opening

1st Shift: Tool Room Lead 6:30am - 3pm

2nd Shift Opening: 2:30pm - 11pm

3rd Shift Opening: 10"30pm - 7am

Monday - Friday, Saturday's & Sunday's based on production

45 - 55 hours a week

Shift starts Monday night

Must Haves:

Progressive Die troubleshooting experience

7+ years of Tool & Die maintenance experience

Tool Room machinist (manual machining, surface grinders, etc.)

Hi Lo/ Forklift / Crane Experience

Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with tools and dies in the Progressive die

In press repair experience for troubleshooting (progressive); being able to go in and specifically diagnose the broken punches as well as the "Fingers" on the press

Nice to Have:

Problem solving skills (how can I go into the press and use my troubleshooting skills to figure out the problem and get it working for production)

Reading & Interpreting technical drawings/ schematics

Prioritize and address tool and die maintenance needs

Disqualifiers:

Only Tool Room experience, no in press repairs

Hoppy tenure (new job every year)

Bad finish at Shiloh, same HR Manager and operations team - if they worked at Shiloh, will consider as long as they were a good employee.

$30 - $36/hour

Direct Placement

1x Tool room lead, 1x 2nd shift, 1x 3rd shift opening

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $74880.00/yr.

Working thru new benefits package and working with the US to match the market

Starting from the ground up; would help get to make the plant what it is.

They just launched their 2nd shift; would eventually launch 3rd shift by Q4 / Q1 2025
