We are seeking a dedicated CAD/GIS Technician to join our dynamic team in Orlando, FL. This role involves specializing in distribution design, utilizing a variety of CAD software tools. This is a full-time position with a 6-12 month contract to hire, providing an exciting opportunity for growth and professional development.
Responsibilities
+ Utilize AutoCAD, GIS, PoleForeman, SmallWorld, and other CAD software to design and support distribution projects.
+ Collaborate with a team of Design Engineers and Design Techs on projects involving grid improvement and major GIS projects.
+ Ensure punctuality and presence in the office to meet production expectations.
+ Participate actively in a team-oriented environment, contributing to the success of the team and promoting a culture of growth.
Essential Skills
+ 2-5 years of experience in AutoCAD and GIS/PoleForeman.
+ Proficiency in drafting and design using GIS/AutoCAD.
+ A go-getter mentality with a passion for the power industry.
+ Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate of Science Degree in GIS with 2 years of professional experience (excluding experience in grocery stores/restaurants).
+ Bachelor of Science degree in GIS, Geography, Math, Geoscience, or Urban Planning with 2 years of professional experience.
+ Desire for long-term growth, including training under a Professional Engineer.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
