    Job Title: Process Engineer

    Job Description:

    We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for developing process plans for production lines, supporting equipment procurement and installation, and leading equipment trials. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful commissioning and launch of battery production lines.

    Responsibilities

    + Participate in daily written and verbal reports.

    + Develop process plans for production lines within the PE department with direct support from the Manager.

    + Work collaboratively with Engineers, the Construction Management Group, Technicians, Vendors, General Contractors, and others to achieve project milestones.

    + Oversee equipment procurement, installation planning, execution, commissioning, pre-production trials, and launch of battery production lines.

    + Engage in advanced cleanliness protocols (clean room) necessary for battery manufacturing.

    + Lead and support equipment trials at vendors and on the manufacturing floor to ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are met.

    + Identify punchlist items, conduct root cause analysis, and manage countermeasures.

    + Summarize KPIs, handle mass-production handover, and support production issues.

    + Engage with cross-functional teams (domestic and international) to discuss open items and key project schedules/milestones.

    + Create and maintain detailed schedules for assigned areas.

    + Maintain budgets for assigned areas.

    + Complete internal and external training.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or similar technical field.

    + 3+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment.

    + Experience in production preparation and execution of capital projects, preferably from initial strategy planning to the start of mass production.

    + Project management experience with capital investments greater than $0.5M.

    + Experience in creating and maintaining detailed schedules for manufacturing equipment installation.

    + Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings, including building facilities and process equipment drawings.

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

    + Proficiency with 2D and 3D drafting software such as AutoCAD.

    + PLC experience including the ability to read, interpret, and modify.

    + SQL/Oracle or other database experience.

    + Experience with Cisco networks and maintaining a machine network.

    + Experience using Ignition for programming Andon visualization and other tools.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Mitsubishi PLC Programming experience.

    + SCADA Systems experience.

    + MES experience.

    + Experience with Kepware software or similar SCADA Data systems.

    Work Environment

    This position requires the ability for business travel, both domestic and international, up to 10%. The role may also require working weekends, holidays, and during shutdown periods (such as July and December shutdown) as needed, based on project conditions and schedules. The work environment is collaborative, involving engagement with cross-functional teams and adhering to advanced cleanliness protocols necessary for battery manufacturing.

    This is a Contract position based out of Greensboro, NC.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $80.00/hr.
