Job Title: Laboratory TechnicianJob Description
As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for receiving and gathering production samples for evaluation. This role involves using a spectrophotometer for taking color measurements and measuring fabric swatches. You will also perform testing on textile products and communicate with various departments such as sales and operations to address any inquiries related to the lab.
Responsibilities
+ Receive and gather production samples for evaluation.
+ Use a spectrophotometer for taking color measurements.
+ Measure fabric swatches accurately.
+ Perform testing on textile products.
+ Communicate effectively with sales and operations departments to address inquiries.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in quality control processes.
+ Experience with Microsoft Excel or other data entry systems.
+ Ability to handle multiple projects and batches simultaneously.
+ Experience with spectrophotometry.
+ Bachelor's degree in the sciences or a high school diploma with applicable experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in the cosmetic industry or any industry related to color quality control.
+ Background in art, fashion, design, dyeing, proofing, or other color-based industries.
Work Environment
The work environment includes a Monday to Friday shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The position involves working with a variety of technologies and equipment related to textiles and color measurement. The dress code is appropriate for a laboratory setting.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlstadt, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $29.00/hr.
