Piping Engineer (100% Remote)
About the Role
Join a team that powers the future of energy! We’re seeking a Piping Engineer to design and analyze piping systems for nuclear power plant projects. Key Responsibilities
+ Design and review calculations for piping systems in compliance with industry standards.
+ Perform code qualification calculations using ASME B31.1 and ASME Section III for Class 1, 2, and 3 stress qualifications.
+ Utilize advanced tools such as ME101 and AutoPIPE for piping analysis; experience with ANSYS or other FEA software is a plus.
+ Develop detailed calculations and drawings for pipe hangers, snubbers, spring cans, and linear supports.
+ Create specifications for piping, valves, and components.
+ Conduct nozzle stress qualifications and assist with component or vessel design.
+ Prepare thorough documentation and communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
+ Support field engineering and construction activities, including site walkdowns.
+ Participate in the nuclear design change process (Standard Design Process).
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Civil-Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
+ 5+ years of progressive engineering experience in commercial, industrial, or government projects.
+ Hands-on experience in piping analysis, including thermal, dynamic, vibration, seismic response spectrum, and time history.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Consulting engineering or utility experience is a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naperville, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $95.00/hr.
