Job Title: Distribution Designer/EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Distribution Designer/Engineer to join our team and contribute to utility-scale projects with a focus on distribution. The candidate will play a crucial role in supporting transformer replacements, retrofits, and other related tasks. This is an open-ended contract position offering appropriate benefits.

Responsibilities

+ Support utility-scale distribution projects, including transformer replacements and retrofits.

+ Utilize proprietary software such as Maximo and BOUD effectively.

+ Collaborate with the distribution team on various engineering tasks.

+ Ensure designs meet industry standards and project requirements.

+ Provide technical expertise in distribution design and engineering tasks.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microstation.

+ Experience in distribution design and drafting.

+ Knowledge of electrical engineering principles.

+ Understanding of power delivery and utility design.

+ Experience with Maximo software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with GIS and civil engineering concepts.

+ Knowledge of high voltage systems.

+ Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

+ Strong communication skills.

Work Environment

The work environment is based in a large, beautifully situated office in downtown Orlando, opposite Lake Eola. The office offers parking, with plenty of nearby dining and entertainment options. The team consists of 10-12 members within a large engineering office that houses multiple disciplines, including Architecture & Engineering and Electrical & Electronics. Hybrid work flexibility is available, and there are ample growth opportunities within the company. The dress code is business casual.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Orlando, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
