    Job Title: Electronics Subsystem Integration and Test Engineer

    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Electronics Subsystem Integration and Test Engineer with strong professional experience in working with lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes and the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics. The role involves troubleshooting circuits and signals, testing at the card-level, and designing and validating test rack systems. The ideal candidate should be adept at writing and executing test procedures and validations, as well as writing automated test scripts using standard lab equipment.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct testing at the card-level, focusing on circuit card assembly and printed circuit board assembly.

    + Design and validate test rack systems to be used for card testing.

    + Write and execute detailed test procedures and validations.

    + Develop and automate test scripts, linking telemetry to existing tools using APIs (SCPI programming).

    + Debug and troubleshoot in a fast-paced environment.

    + Interact with space avionics subsystem design teams to plan, implement, and execute test campaigns.

    + Develop test campaigns, plans, and procedures, including scheduling, resource identification, and test architecture definition.

    + Define and architect electrical ground support equipment necessary for unit testing.

    + Procure test support equipment and facilities, including environmental testing facilities, by working with vendors and supply chain.

    + Develop detailed test descriptions and procedures to support subsystem requirement verifications.

    + Assemble and integrate subsystems and support equipment, and execute tests as per approved plans and procedures.

    + Summarize and present test results and findings to engineering teams.

    + Perform failure and anomaly investigations to determine root causes.

    Essential Skills

    + 8+ years of experience as an electrical engineer or in a lab environment.

    + Proficiency in systems engineering, requirements management, and test requirements.

    + Experience in defining and architecting electrical ground support equipment.

    + Ability to write test plans and create test scripts using Python.

    + Familiarity with space hardware and environmental test standards, such as SMC-S-016, NASA's GSFC-STD-7000, and MIL-STD-461G.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience with space hardware and environmental test standards.

    + Skilled in debugging and troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment.

    + Ability to interact effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.

    Work Environment

    This position is based onsite in Northridge, CA, where you will work five days a week. The role involves collaborating closely with the payloads development group on a low orbiting satellite project. The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring interaction with various design teams to achieve project goals

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
