    Job Summary

    The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate customer accounts, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances. This role plays a key part in supporting cash flow, financial accuracy, and positive customer relationships.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Generate, review, and send customer invoices accurately and on time

    + Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past-due balances

    + Apply customer payments (checks, ACH, wire, credit cards) to accounts

    + Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues

    + Communicate with customers regarding invoices, statements, and payment status

    + Maintain accurate AR records in the accounting system

    + Prepare AR reports, aging schedules, and reconciliations

    + Assist with month-end close related to accounts receivable

    + Collaborate with sales, customer service, and accounting teams

    + Requirements

     

    Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

     

    2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting

     

    Strong understanding of invoicing, collections, and cash application

     

    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (ERP systems preferred)

     

    Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

     

    Strong communication and customer service skills

     

    Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
