Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join a reputable wholesale distribution company in Rancho Cordova, California. In this long-term contract position, you will handle a range of payroll-related tasks, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality while supporting employees and management. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team and further develop your payroll expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Address employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, providing clear and accurate information.

• Collaborate with payroll representatives across locations to confirm timely and correct entry, approval, and submission of timesheets before processing.

• Distribute weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly paychecks and direct deposit statements to designated locations.

• Process garnishments efficiently and ensure compliance with organizational requests.

• Enter data for new hires, terminations, pay adjustments, promotions, and position changes into the payroll system.

• Update non-action data such as employee addresses, tax allowances, and direct deposit information.

• Handle employment verification requests by providing accurate documentation.

• Protect sensitive information by maintaining strict confidentiality in all payroll operations.

• Generate various payroll-related reports including census, safety, and workers’ compensation wage reports to support management needs. Requirements • A minimum of 3 years of experience in full-cycle payroll processing.

• Proficiency in handling payroll for employee groups ranging from 101 to 500 individuals.

• Knowledge and experience in processing payroll garnishments.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure accuracy in payroll entries and reports.

• Familiarity with payroll systems and software.

• Excellent communication skills to address employee inquiries and collaborate with team members.

• Ability to work onsite in Rancho Cordova, California.

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and protecting sensitive payroll data.
