Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team in South Barrington, Illinois. This contract-to-permanent position involves working directly with clients to deliver accurate tax preparation and advisory services. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in tax regulations and compliance, along with the ability to handle diverse tax scenarios effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

• Collaborate with clients to understand their financial situations and provide tailored tax planning solutions.

• Analyze financial statements to offer projections and identify tax-saving opportunities.

• Ensure timely submission of all tax filings while adhering to organizational and state compliance standards.

• Utilize software tools such as UltraTax and Qount to streamline tax preparation processes.

• Stay updated on U.S. tax laws to maintain compliance and provide informed advice to clients.

• Deliver exceptional client service by addressing inquiries and providing clear explanations of tax outcomes.

• Work closely with team members to maintain high-quality service and client satisfaction.

• Assist with identifying areas for process improvement within the tax preparation workflow.

• Uphold confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive client information. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in tax preparation, preferably in a public accounting environment.

• Proficiency in preparing individual tax returns (1040), as well as corporate and partnership returns.

• Familiarity with UltraTax, Qount, and Microsoft Office Suite is required.

• Strong knowledge of U.S. tax laws and compliance practices.

• Enrolled Agent certification or equivalent license is preferred.

• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Commitment to maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of tax preparation.
