    Position: Visiting Clinic Nurse / Hospice Nurse

    Working in Home Health and Hospice is deeply rewarding for many reasons. You have the flexibility to create your own schedule, care for one patient at a time, and manage patients holistically—an approach not always possible in the fast-paced hospital bedside environment. Western Montana is beautiful and unspoiled, and the travel time between patient homes adds a refreshing balance to your day.

     

    A customized orientation is available for nurses who are new to Home Health and Hospice nursing. We invite you to learn more about us!

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

     

    Other duties may be assigned.

     

    + Administer and manage prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and within scope of practice; notify providers as appropriate

    + Document patient care completely, accurately, and in a timely manner in the appropriate health record

    + Initiate and participate in individualized patient, resident, and family education plans

    + Create, manage, and implement patient care and treatment plans based on individualized needs

    + Demonstrate competencies within scope of practice

    + Follow all applicable standards related to specialty or area of work

    + Adhere to recognized infection control standards

    + Participate in departmental and hospital-wide Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities

    + Provide oversight of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), where applicable by law, and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)

    Education and/or Experience

    + Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program

    + One to two years of related experience and/or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
