    TEKsystems (New Albany, OH)


    Job Summary

    We’re looking for Communications Technicians at two levels:

    + Tech I (Entry-Level) – Some training or experience preferred

    + Tech II (Experienced) – Ability to lead small teams and handle advanced tasks

    Shifts Available:

    + 1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM

    + 2nd Shift: 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM

    + Flexibility is appreciated as shifts may vary based on project needs.

    What You’ll Do

    + Install and pull 4" microduct and follow labeling standards

    + Work in a construction environment

    + Perform cable testing and troubleshooting (continuity tests, tone sets, volt-ohmmeter)

    + Identify active voice/data circuits

    + For Tech II: Lead small crews, train team members, and ensure projects are completed on time

    + Complete required paperwork accurately and on time

    + Follow all safety and quality standards

    What We’re Looking For

    + Tech I: Entry-level candidates with some training or exposure to cabling

    + Tech II: At least 2 years of experience in telecommunications or a related field, plus leadership ability

    + Ability to read blueprints and understand color codes

    + Comfortable working at heights, lifting up to 50 lbs, and in confined spaces

    + Must have a valid driver’s license and meet driving standards

    Skills That Will Help You Succeed

    + Cable installation (Cat6), terminations, troubleshooting, testing

    + Rack and stack, punch-down, structured cabling

     

    Tools will be provided.

     

    Regular attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude are essential.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Albany, OH.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $30.00/hr.
