Description
The Lead Event Specialist will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing high-impact events, ensuring alignment with the Bank’s mission and strategic goals. This role involves managing logistics, overseeing event budgets, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and delivering exceptional experiences for members, customers, and employees. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creating engaging and seamless events.
Event Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute event strategies aligned with objectives, managing a portfolio of conferences, meetings, webinars, and outings.
- Collaborate with internal teams to define goals, content, audiences, and success metrics, while applying industry best practices.
Execution, Logistics & Vendor Management:
- Oversee logistics including venues, vendors, catering, AV, and accommodations; create timelines, run-of-show, and contingency plans; and manage onsite operations for a seamless attendee experience.
- Coordinate speakers and presentation materials, while negotiating contracts, managing budgets, and tracking expenses with post-event financial analysis.
Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting:
- Serve as the primary contact for stakeholders and partners, leading cross-functional teams and supporting junior staff.
- Gather feedback, measure success against defined metrics, and implement improvements for future events.

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
