    Job Description

    Under the direction of the Dialysis Program Director, the Dialysis RN coordinates, delegates, supervises, and provides nursing care for patients over the age of 18 years. The RN completes duties in accordance with approved med/surg standards, policies, and procedures. The Dialysis RN is knowledgeable in the cause and effect of renal disease, the use of various hemo and peritoneal dialysis treatments, procedures, and therapeutic interventions appropriate to manage care in an acute and/or chronic renal dialysis unit. The Dialysis RN utilizes the nursing process to address the physiological, psychological, emotional, cultural and self-care needs of patients and their families during the acute and chronic episodes of illness. na
