    The Electro Optical Infrared Systems (EOIS) line of business within DRS has locations in Dallas and Austin, TX, Melbourne, FL, and Cypress, CA. EOIS develops, manufactures, and supports infrared and electro-optical solutions for soldiers, ground vehicles and airborne platforms.     Job Summary

    Collaborate with and learn from experienced Employees in our Electro-Optical & Infrared Systems line of business. Our Summer Internship Program offers a full-time, paid opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working in a culture defined by friendliness and teamwork at DRS. What sets us apart?     Job Responsibilities

    + Collect data and reviews documentation for conformance, accuracy, and completeness. Coordinate and

    + Support quality engineering activities for multiple programs under the supervision of engineers

    + Support incoming inspection of purchased materials

    + Gather and assemble data for engineers. Conduct data analysis to assist the Quality Engineering team

    + Perform and complete technical projects

    + Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the engineering staff, methods, programs and practices

    + Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

    + Other duties as assigned

    + Normal for an office environment

    + May perform work in various supplier facilities, including machine and plating shops

    Qualifications

    + Must be actively enrolled in a 4 year undergraduate degree in engineering or a technical discipline (STEM)

    + Have completed at least 2 years of college with a 3.0 GPA or better.

    + Ability to work well both as part of a team or as an individual

    + Proficient with Microsoft Office Products such as Work, Excel, and PowerPoint

    + Previous internship or co-op experience and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)

    + U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems
