Job Description
Mercury Systems is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support the Manufacturing Engineering team with manufacturing process improvements, performance monitoring, and data analytics.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Support manufacturing operations to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and operational efficiency
+ Partner with the Manufacturing Engineering team to identify and implement process improvements
+ Participate in team meetings to contribute to product and process improvement initiatives
+ Interpret, analyze, and summarize large datasets to support decision-making
+ Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities beyond predefined KPIs
+ Conduct statistical data analysis and create clear charts, dashboards, and reports
+ Analyze equipment performance and utilization to support continuous improvement
+ Monitor and analyze SPC trends and product yield data
+ Maintain clear, accurate documentation of analysis, findings, and process changes
Required Qualifications:
+ Currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
+ A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the review process
+ Working knowledge of statistics and data analysis concepts
+ Experience with business systems such as Power BI
+ Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab or similar software)
+ Self-starter with the ability to proactively collaborate with teams outside of the immediate group to find solutions
+ Ability to translate technical and analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences
