What You'll Do
+ Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room environment
+ Set up, operate, and ensure proper function of surgical instruments and equipment
+ Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, handling supplies, and maintaining counts
+ Handle specimens, apply dressings, and assist with patient preparation and positioning
+ Support post-operative room turnover, safety, and aseptic standards

+ Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program (college, vocational school, hospital, or military)
+ 0-2 years of experience requiredNo experience necessary - new graduates welcome!
+ Additional experience may qualify for Intermediate or Senior Surgical Technologist roles
+ Experience may include a variety of surgical specialties (General, Ortho, Neuro, OB/GYN, Vascular, etc.)
Certification & Education
+ CST or TSC certification required per state law
+ New grads may work up to 6 months prior to certification but must become certified within 6 months of program completion
+ Some staff may be grandfathered and exempt from certification requirements
+ Continuing Education:
+ Certified staff must meet credentialing CE requirements
+ Non-certified staff must complete 30 CE hours every 2 years
Licensure & Clearances
+ CPR/BLS (AHA) required within 30 days of hire
+ Act 34 Criminal Clearance (with renewal as required)
