Overview
Pay Rate: $28-$30/hour
The Autism Welcoming Initiative provides training, resources, and guidance to businesses and organizations to promote autism awareness and foster inclusive, welcoming environments for the autistic community. The Autism Welcoming Senior Program Coordinator will support the implementation, coordination, and continued growth of the initiative, with a primary emphasis on engaging libraries across the state.
This is a hybrid role.

Flexible hours needed to meet the needs of families served – this may include weekends and evenings.
Responsibilities
+ Coordinate and oversee all components of the Autism Welcoming Initiative as it pertains to libraries.
+ Conduct outreach to libraries and library associations to promote participation and deepen engagement.
+ Support training activities, including preparing materials, managing logistics, and developing social media content.
+ Represent the initiative at community outreach events and other public engagements.
+ Maintain ongoing communication with participating libraries to support successful and sustainable implementation.
+ Collect, organize, and track data for reporting, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
+ Maintain and update content for the Autism Welcoming website and Resource Directory.
+ Managing projects, schedules, and program materials to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
+ Ensure all families are treated with dignity and respect in alignment with Advocates’ Human Rights Policy.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree inEducation, Psychology, Human Services, or related fieldand 2 years of relevant experience.
+ Personal family experience with autism may substitute for some educational requirements
+ Strong organizational skills.
+ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
+ Proficiency in using social media and digital communication platforms.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
+ Valid Driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout Metrowest, and to flex hours to meet the needs of families served – this may include weekends and evenings
