Role Overview
The Design Center Sales Consultant is the face of the company’s luxury kitchen and bath fixtures showroom. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, guiding customers through decorative plumbing product selections, the ideal candidates have a flair for design, product knowledge, and a customer-first attitude.
In this role, you will welcome and assist walk-in customers, designers, and trade professionals while providing expert guidance on a wide range of kitchen and bath products. You will manage the full sales cycle—including generating quotes, preparing orders, following up on leads, and meeting assigned sales targets—while building strong, lasting customer relationships.
You will maintain a clean, organized showroom, stay current on product lines and industry trends, and participate in ongoing training. This position also oversees order management by tracking shipments, resolving issues, and providing exceptional post-sale support. Collaboration is essential, as you will work closely with internal teams, outside sales, and vendor partners to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Qualifications
Experience:
+ 2+ years of experience in high-end luxury sales, ideally in kitchen and bath, plumbing fixtures, or home improvement.
+ Experience working with interior designers, contractors, or in B2B sales is a plus.
Skills:
+ Must have excellent problem-solving, multitasking, listening, and interpersonal skills.
+ Proficiency with computers and POS and/or data management systems (Microsoft Office, CRM tools).
+ A passion for customer satisfaction, design and a good eye for aesthetics.
+ Must be able to engage in a consultative sales approach with all different types of customers.
+ Strong sales aptitude, ability to build rapport with clients and effective negotiation skills.
+ Able to meet deadlines, be detail oriented and be organized.
Preferred Knowledge:
+ Familiarity with Building, Design, Home Improvement Industry.
Work Schedule:
+ Showroom hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Saturdays 9:00 - 4:00. You will work a 5-day weekly schedule within hours of operation.
Compensation: Hourly wage paid weekly + monthly commissions based on sales.
