Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Responsibilities Responsible for the administration and management of the MCCS Maintenance staff, including maintenance projects, renovations, and repair and maintenance of equipment in support of activities. Works with maintenance staff to assist on all maintenance related activities with an emphasis on HV ACR, this position is the lead HV ACR technician as well as the maintenance manager. Plans, organizes work, and manages internal procedures and resources to ensure maximum productivity and economies. Develops long range plans an recurring maintenance tasks, in conjunction with internal operating directives, and exercises internal personnel management authorities as delegated by the higher-level supervisor. Directly supervises employees. Counsels and trains employees, schedules and directs work, appraises work performance. Approves or disapproves leave, and personnel actions. Must be alert to substance abuse and take appropriate action. Effectively supports the Marine Corps Equal Employment Opportunity and Sexual Harassment policies, and ensures compliance with fire, safety, and other environmental issues and programs. Maintains and enforces security of funds, merchandise, supplies and equipment to preclude or minimize the potential for fraud, waste, and abuse. Responsible for all HVACR repairs and recurring maintenance, to include ice machines, mini-split units, refrigeration, freezer units, split systems, and various refrigeration units throughout MCCS. Plans work schedules and sequence of operations for subordinates. Provides detailed work objectives, materials, and labor cost estimates for work orders. Assigns work to subordinates with work requirement, methods, and procedures. Instructs subordinates in new procedures and provides advice when problems arise. Develop plan assignments and methods as necessary to accomplish the work effectively and as economically as feasible. Develop performance standards for assigned employees. Evaluates employees on performance. Hears and resolves complaints and identifies developmental and training needs of employees. Find ways to improve production or increase the quality of the work directed. Keeps supervisor informed of abnormal or special problems. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Take action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications A minimum of three years of experience that demonstrates knowledge and experience in applying the principles, methods, techniques and theories of maintenance management, in the management and administration of maintenance functions. Knowledge of work methods and practices of various building trades. Knowledge of pertinent safety, occupational health and environmental regulations. Ability to supervise. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Knowledge of NAF policies and procedures preferred. Refrigerant certification required.
