    Are you ready to drive innovation and shape the future of product development? Caterpillar Inc. is looking for an **Engineering Project Team Leader** to join our Paving Team. In this influential global role, you will lead a high-performing team to harness customer machine data, solve complex challenges, and deliver world-class paving solutions that exceed our customer expectations.

    What You will Do (Job Duties)

    + Collaborate seamlessly with Paving Product’s segment teams ensuring smooth and effective project execution.

    + Clearly communicate projectobjectivesand tasks, while activelysolicitinginsights and feedback from team members to drive success.

    + Skillfully interpret and convey customer, management, and team input, both verbal and non-verbal, to inform project decisions.

    + Applyextensive experience and research toidentifyroot causes, distinguish assumptions and perspectives, andprovideexpert guidance in machine data analysis.

    + Empower, mentor, and lead a team of engineers, fostering their growth andprovidingexpert technical guidance in a non-supervisory leadership role.

    What You Have (Basic Qualifications)

    + **Degree Requirement:** Abachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer/Computer Science, Robotics, or Ag Engineeringor related fieldfrom an accredited college or university.

    + **Technical Excellence:** Strong working knowledge of Paving equipment design and Paving applications.Strong analytical skills and ability to gather and analyze requirements to understand Paving machine team needs.

    + **Project Management:** Proven ability to perform complex assignments,directly relatedto either NPI or CPI and ableprioritizeworkload, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.Able to collaborate with international teams in various time zones.

    + **Troubleshooting Technical Problems:** Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information and solutions with internal stakeholders.

    + **Team Management:** Ability to form and manage a worldwide team with a data analytics background.

    Top Candidates Will Also Have

    + Progressiveexperience in engineeringrolesincluding experience in machine analytics development.

    + Experience leading project engineering teams.

    + Experience developing Paving equipment including hydraulic,electricaland structural systems.

    + Significant application knowledge of Paving Product’s Machines.

    + Experience with Python and C++.

    **Travel:** Up to 15%

    Summary Pay Range:

    $126,000.00 - $189,000.00

     

    Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.

    This position requires working onsite five days a week.
