Essential Duties:

Responsible to develop and implement manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls.

+ Assists with the analysis and design of lean manufacturing cells using effective systems and tools to optimize use of space, equipment, material and personnel

+ Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of processes and related equipment

+ Confers with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes

+ Develops work aids and/or documentation for products in order to train assembly personnel

+ Applies statistical methods and performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency

+ Represents manufacturing and/or engineering on cross-functional teams

+ Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organization

+ Adheres to all quality and safety standards

+ Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned

+ Available for travel as required

Education/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:

+ Min of three years related experience

+ Experience in Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques preferred

+ Experience with AutoCAD, Solidworks, or similar programs; CNC programming experience desired

+ Strong knowledge in written product specifications

+ Ability to organize and manage multiple products through manufacturing process

+ Possesses strong analytical and problem solving skills

+ Possesses quality orientation and high attention to detail

+ Possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with customers, vendors, employees and managers at all levels within the company

+ Possesses strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in standard business software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office)

+ Experience in ERP systems, SAP desired
