    Job Description

    The Financial Counselor works directly with clients in person and over the phone and advises them regarding money management, credit, debt, budgeting, housing/rental/mortgage/foreclosure issues, reverse mortgages, protected checkbooks, bankruptcy, debt management, health insurance. The Financial Counselor also provides guidance on resources and benefits clients may be eligible for and facilitates those referrals. This entails an ability to gain the trust of clients and understand the financial and underlying social/cultural/behavioral issues involved.
