Position Summary...
The Manager, supports Walmart’s Global Intellectual Property & Brand Protection team by driving the strategy, requirements, and solution design needed to strengthen Walmart’s brand protection capabilities. This role identifies operational and system gaps, defines business needs, and partners with Product, Engineering, Legal, and broader Compliance teams to ensure scalable, AI-enabled, and automation-driven improvements are delivered. The manager contributes to building a more trusted marketplace for customers, sellers, and rights owners across Walmart’s global ecosystem.
The Intellectual Property & Brand Protection Solutions team sits within Walmart’s Global Compliance organization and shapes the strategy behind our global IP and brand-protection ecosystem. The team evaluates enforcement workflows, identifies operational and system gaps, and defines the business and functional requirements that guide how solutions are developed across tools like the Brand Portal and IP related workflows.
We work closely with Product, Engineering, Legal, and other Compliance teams to ensure that the right capabilities are prioritized and designed, focusing on improved rights-owner experience, stronger enforcement outcomes, and the adoption of AI and automation to scale our global programs.
What you'll do...
+ Identify and analyze gaps in IP and brand protection workflows, enforcement processes, and system capabilities.
+ Define business requirements and partner with Product and Engineering to guide the delivery of new tools, enhancements, and AI-driven solutions.
+ Support the evolution of Walmart’s global brand portal and broader brand engagement programs.
+ Apply data analysis and automation thinking to improve decisioning, routing logic, and operational efficiency.
+ Translate complex compliance risks into clear solution strategies and long-term recommendations.
+ Coordinate across cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, prioritization, and timely execution.
+ Manage multiple priorities and maintain strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
+ Support the evolution of Walmart’s global brand portal and brand engagement initiatives.
What you'll bring:
+ 2–4 years of experience in intellectual property, brand protection, compliance, data analytics, or related operational or product-adjacent fields.
+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with familiarity in data tools (SQL, Python, Tableau/Power BI) and a strong interest in AI/LLM-driven improvements.
+ Ability to think strategically about risk, workflows, and system behavior, and translate them into actionable requirements.
+ Strong communication and collaboration skills for working across Compliance, Legal, Product, and Engineering.
+ Experience in eCommerce, retail, technology, or risk-mitigation environments is preferred.
+ Curiosity, adaptability, and a mindset focused on continuous improvement and innovation.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 2 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 4 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area.
2 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
