    DESCRIPTION

    We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineer - Senior to join our team specializing in manufacturing for our Cummins business in Rocky Mount, NC.

    + **Champion Continuous Improvement** Using tools like Lean and Six Sigma, you'll lead efforts to refine standards and working methods, helping the organization reduce waste and optimize performance.

    + **Influence Key Stakeholders** Your leadership in communication will help align external partners, business leaders, and cross-functional teams around shared goals and manufacturing strategies.

    + **Collaborate Across Boundaries** Working with internal and external resources, you'll ensure project success through effective coordination, problem-solving, and execution.

    + **Set and Elevate Manufacturing Standards** You'll lead the development and implementation of best practices, ensuring consistency, safety, and excellence across manufacturing operations.

    + **Coach and Build Relationships** By maintaining strong relationships and mentoring stakeholders, you'll foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

    + **Technical Mastery in Manufacturing Processes** Success requires interpreting engineering drawings, selecting appropriate equipment, and applying manufacturing knowledge to design safe, ergonomic, and efficient workstations and processes.

    + **Commitment to Health, Safety, and Ergonomics** Championing proactive safety behaviors and applying ergonomic design principles will help create a safe, injury-free workplace and foster a culture of well-being.

    + **Continuous Improvement and Digital Innovation** Leveraging digital tools for simulation and analysis, applying process improvement methodologies, and embracing Quality 4.0 technologies will enable data-driven decisions and long-term operational excellence.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education/Experience:

    + College, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field, or equivalent experience required.

    + This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.

    Additional Details:

    + Lead projects to implement line changes for new products

    + Coordinate supplier equipment integration

    + Lead line changes for tooling, process, and equipment changes for new products

    + Support the line during project execution for infant care support

     

    Compensation
