Your role and responsibilities
Software Developer, IBM Corporation, San Jose, CA (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted)
* Develop quality code to support the internal Security Guardium product by implementing unit tests and performing performance profiling.
* Analyze and review results to optimize performance.
* Review peers' code for inefficiencies or mistakes, and write clean, and reusable code.
* Gather technical requirements for new features and design enhancements for existing product capabilities.
* Design and develop Windows drivers and explore ways to improve driver performance.
* Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements.
* Provide technical support to various internal Security Guardium teams.
* Support technical writers by offering input for documentation of new features and changes.
* Work with the customer support team to address customer concerns and resolve issues.
* Collaborate with the quality assurance team for thorough testing of newly developed code.
* Educate and train other internal Security Guardium employees on new features and functionality.
* Deliver technical demonstrations of new features and functionality.
* Mentor team members to expand their skillsets and ensure cross-functional training.
* Utilize C/C++, C#, Windows Programming/Universal Windows Programing (UWP), Object Oriented Programming (OOPs), Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Unit Testing/Testing automation tools.
Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related and five (5) years of experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or related. Five (5) years of experience
must include utilizing C/C++, C#, Windows Programming/Universal Windows Programing (UWP), Object Oriented Programming (OOPs), Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Unit Testing/Testing automation tools. $265000 to $282000 per year. Full time. SN168.
Required technical and professional expertise
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related and five (5) years of experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or related. Five (5) years of experience
