+ GENERAL SUMMARY

+ The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Engineering Manager in coordinating daily department work activities and sets processes in place to promote effective operation of the unit/service/program. Responsibilities include the daily planning, work scheduling, coordination and operational performance of the department personnel. Reports to department management.

+ ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs a variety of mechanical equipment as well as coordinates special projects.

+ Orders and maintains necessary supplies.

+ Implements and maintains the department’s PM program.

+ Independently carries out assigned responsibilities, seeking guidance from the Manager and/or Director when needed.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

+ LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS

+ None

+ MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

+ High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

+ Technical training and work experience in a trade with a Master's level preferred or equivalent experience and/or training.

+ Broad knowledge of all other trades.

+ Five or more years of supervisory or lead experience preferred.

+ Must meet the insurability policy requirements to drive a CHKD vehicle.

+ Must be able to pass the CHKD driving test within 30 days of employment.

+ WORKING CONDITIONS

+ Work is performed inside and outside of the hospital in all weather conditions.
