    Position Summary

    Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a Middle School English Teacher to join our instructional team. The successful candidate will foster a positive learning environment that supports literacy development, critical thinking, and a love of reading and writing among middle school students.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned English Language Arts instruction

    + Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic needs of students

    + Assess student learning and provide timely, meaningful feedback

    + Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment

    + Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff

    + Participate in professional development and school-based initiatives

    + Maintain accurate records and comply with district policies and procedures

    Qualifications

    + Valid New York State certification in English (Grades 5–9 or 7–12)

    + Strong classroom management and instructional skills

    + Ability to build positive relationships with students and families

    + Experience with middle school learners preferred
