    Our client, a leading organization in data center operations and IT infrastructure, is seeking a **Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician** to join their team. As a **Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician** , you will be part of a team supporting inventory management, equipment lifecycle, and compliance activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and strong organizational skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician

     

    6-18 month contract

    West Des Moines, IA

    12 hour shifts, Sun - Tues & Every other Wed; day shift

     

    $28/hour

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Oversee equipment lifecycle, including receiving, deployment, and decommissioning.

    + Manage RMA processes for components, including shipping and receiving.

    + Track and maintain detailed physical inventory of components and equipment.

    + Perform secure destruction of data-bearing devices (hard drives, SSDs) following documented procedures.

    + Monitor systems for equipment failures or performance errors and respond appropriately.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + High School Diploma or equivalent; 2+ years experience in warehouse/supply chain within an IT environment.

    + Previous experience working in a data center environment required.

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving ability, and customer service orientation.

    + Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
