As a Mobile Apps engineer, you will have the opportunity to use Amazon technologies from all over the company to build amazing products, which will be used directly by fans and industry professionals around the world. We are looking for a strong iOS Mobile App engineer to join our Apps Team and lead the effort of building engaging and personalized user experiences in our hugely popular apps including IMDb Movies & TV and IMDbPro.

Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will develop new features for IMDb, working with your engineering team, product managers, and UX designers to build native iOS features that delight our customers. You will own customer facing features through the entire life-cycle, from design, implementation, testing, deployment and into production. You will need to be comfortable going deep on a variety of areas such as video playback, advertising, and native app components as well as working with our API layer to define the next iteration of our schema to power our apps. You will work to maintain a high quality bar for our code and our customers. You will optimize iOS apps for performance, reliability and security. You'll share your ideas on how we can work more effectively.
You are not limited to iOS application development, but will also have the opportunities to work on technical designs and implementations of backend services and APIs that power mobile app functionalities.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 2+ years of Apple platform development experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
