Description
Join Amazon's Supply Chain Execution organization as a Supply Chain Planner and help drive data-informed decision-making for our global fulfillment network. As a key analytical leader on our Midterm Planning (MTP) team, you'll own the creation and maintenance of critical dashboards and analytical frameworks that enable strategic planning across inventory placement, capacity utilization, and network performance optimization.
The MTP organization relies on sophisticated analytics to generate accurate forecasts and optimize network operations. In this role, you'll develop comprehensive analytics across weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly timeframes to identify trends and data-driven opportunities. Your analyses will directly influence planning decisions and risk identification across one of the world's largest supply chain operations.
Working closely with Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, Long and Short Term Planners, Finance and cross-functional Supply Chain and Operations partners, you'll design and maintain analytical frameworks that drive planning decisions. Your focus will be on transforming complex data into actionable insights, developing critical KPIs, and ensuring stakeholders have visibility into network performance and emerging trends.
Key job responsibilities
Own the creation, maintenance, and governance of MTP dashboards that drive planning decisions and network optimization
Conduct comprehensive analytics across multiple timeframes to identify trends and data-driven opportunities
Develop and report critical KPIs and metrics for weekly and monthly flash reports, ensuring stakeholders have visibility into network performance
Partner with Business Intelligence Engineers to translate analytical requirements into technical specifications and support the development of automated reporting solutions, ensuring seamless integration between business needs and technical implementation
Partner with MT Planners to develop and maintain analytical frameworks that support decision-making and risk identification
Lead data visualization initiatives that transform complex network data into clear, actionable insights
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure analytical outputs meet business needs
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in reporting and analysis workflows
A day in the life
Your day centers on transforming complex network data into actionable insights. You'll start by analyzing previous performance metrics and preparing insights for regional projection reviews. Throughout the day, you'll maintain critical dashboards, partner with BIE on data pipeline validation and calculation modeling, and collaborate with planners to investigate network trends. You might lead cross-functional meetings to present performance insights or work with stakeholders to enhance visualization tools. Each day brings new opportunities to drive data-informed planning decisions across Amazon's fulfillment network.
About the team
The Midterm Planning (MTP) team is a crucial component of Amazon's Supply Chain Execution organization, serving as a central integrator for cross-functional workstreams. We bridge the gap between short-term operational planning and long-term strategic network design, focusing on a 16 to 52 weeks horizon that optimize Amazon's fulfillment network through data-driven decision-making.

Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of supply chain experience
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $77,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
