    Summary:

    The Idaho Department of Correction currently has an opening for Clinical Supervisor at the Pocatello Women’s Correctional Center (PWCC), Pocatello ID. Clinical Supervisors provide clinical oversight related to the design, development, implementation, and ongoing delivery of mental health services within the facilities. The incumbent will work with the institutional leadership to standardize and improve core program delivery of clinical services.

    Responsibilities:

    + Provide technical expertise and advice to management, treatment staff, and treatment services teams in the professional delivery of clinical and treatment services.

    + Provide input and consultation on program design and direction.

    + Provide direction to specialized clinical/rehabilitative services and delivery.

    + Organize and participates with groups to develop support and service partnerships and expanded community options.

    + Ensure quality by monitoring, assessing, and inspecting the consistency and proficiency of program delivery in IDOC facilities and district offices.

    + Develop, maintain, support and mentor relationships with treatment staff, other program delivery staff, and key personnel at facilities and jails Perform periodic audits of clinical services delivered at IDOC institutions and district offices.

    + Provide over site of the Acute Mental Health Unit.

     

    Minimum Qualifications: Your resume needs to clearly articulate how your skills, education and experience meet the qualifications below-

     

    + Master's degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychosocial rehabilitation counseling, psychiatric nursing, or very closely related field of study.

    + Some knowledge of supervisory practices. Typically gained by at least one (1) year of experience as a lead worker or supervisor that involved work assignment, direction, and monitoring of staff; OR one (1) year experience as a Field Training Officer (FTO) that involved work assignment, direction and monitoring performance of at least four (4) new hires within the last five (5) years

    + Some knowledge of community organization/development principles and processes. Typically gained by completion of a Community Organization/Development course or workshops equivalent to three semester hours of college credit OR 40 classroom hours of specific training OR I have held a direct services role in case management or psychosocial or rehabilitation therapy or counseling and applied these principles in a community development role.

    + Experience providing treatment services in correctional, institutional, clinical and/or community-based treatment settings. Typically this is gained by at least two years' post-Master's degree experience providing direct clinical services. Direct clinical services may include conducting assessments, crisis interventions, case management treatment planning, therapy, follow-up, report writing, etc., for clients in a community or institutional-based setting, project, or program.

    + Experience providing in-service skills training to professional staff. Typically, this is met by leadwork/team leader, or supervisory or managerial assignments where you developed and conducted in-service skills training for individual or groups.

    Specialty Qualifications:

    + Possession of a current Idaho license in respective field or license eligibility within 90 days of hire. Should you be invited to an interview you will be asked to supply a copy of your license or verification from the Occupational License Bureau at the time of the interview.

    Desirable Qualifications:

    + Willing to work non-traditional hours in a Correctional Facility providing program facilitation and case management services to offenders? (Non-traditional hours may include evenings and/or weekends.).

    + Possession of or eligibility for supervisory endorsement/certification form their respective licensing board.

    + Preferred candidates will have two (2) years of experience providing clinical oversight of staff and treatment programs.

    + Prior experience involving quality assurance and/or auditing service delivery systems.
