Description

We are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our team in Sarasota, Florida. In this long-term Contract to hire role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting legal processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in case management and documentation. This position requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of litigation procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and assist with discovery processes to support case preparation.

• Draft and review legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and other related materials.

• Utilize case management software to organize and maintain accurate case files.

• Facilitate e-filing processes and ensure timely submission of necessary documents.

• Coordinate and schedule depositions, appointments, and other critical meetings.

• Assist attorneys in trial preparation and assembling case materials.

• Monitor deadlines and maintain compliance with court requirements.

• Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth case progression.

• Organize and manage documentation related to litigation cases.

• Provide administrative support to the legal team as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, with a focus on litigation.

• Proficiency in case management software and e-filing systems.

• Strong knowledge of discovery processes and legal document drafting.

• Ability to schedule and coordinate depositions and appointments effectively.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Familiarity with court procedures and deadlines.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
