    The Product Engineer will receive direction from engineers to support one of the largest customers in the distribution space. The role involves managing projects post-concept approval by the end customer.

    Responsibilities

    + Complete load testing, cycle testing, and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).

    + Conduct racking tests to validate performance and implement corrective actions if necessary, focusing on DFMEA/PFMEA aspects.

    + Develop and complete tolerance specifications, coating tests, and materials specifications and selection.

    + Collaborate with third-party testers to perform testing, write scope statements, and validate results.

    + Research and propose lower cost, more reliable methods for customers, often working with third-party suppliers.

    + Work closely with overseas suppliers and the supply chain team to clarify prints, substitute materials, and negotiate with suppliers.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in Solidworks

    + 2-5 years of experience in Product Engineering

    + Hands-on testing and validation experience

    + Experience in writing test procedures

    + Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in PFMEA and DFMEA

    + Strong mechanical engineering experience

     

    Work Environment

     

    Work hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, totaling 40 hours a week with no overtime.

     

    The team consists of five engineers, and the role may involve collaboration with Product Managers and the CAD team.

     

    he organization comprises 120 people on-site, fostering a collaborative environment with opportunities for leadership growth.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $43.27/hr.
