This role focuses on designing state-of-the-art ultrahigh power RF transmission systems, requiring expertise in analog circuits, microprocessor systems, programmable and discrete digital logic, power supply circuitry, and electrical/electronic interfacing systems. A general understanding of systems embedded software functionality is also necessary.
Responsibilities
+ Design and test analog electronic circuits, including sensor interfaces, data converters, multiplexers, active and passive filters, and power distribution systems.
+ Perform block level and transistor level layout design and optimization of analog and digital circuits using PCB software design tools such as Cadence, Altium, and PADS.
+ Contribute to the assessment of the feasibility of new business opportunities and develop & author technical proposals and contractually obligated responses.
+ Simulate analog or mixed signal circuits to ensure that performance, noise, timing, and power requirements are satisfied, including worst-case and/or statistical design verification and de-rating analysis.
+ Provide technical expertise and leadership on programs, collaborating with the Project Engineer to lead the development team in achieving committed product functionality within agreed timelines.
+ Ensure all customer, contract, and regulatory technical requirements on programs are met.
+ Lead engineering design teams to meet program objectives concerning quality, cost, and schedule, including on-time delivery.
+ Anticipate and manage technical risks on projects, ensuring mitigation plans are in place.
+ Champion and implement cross-team/intra-team collaboration and continuous improvement in product designs and engineering practices, with a mindset for subsystem reuse.
+ Define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output, and working parameters for hardware and/or firmware compatibility.

+ A history of innovation and self-directed learning, with demonstrated leadership skills and a growth mindset.
+ Ability to translate system-level requirements to functionality for implementation.
+ Extensive knowledge of RF and digital systems design.
+ Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to influence others for optimum interaction with project teams, management, and customers.
+ Ability to obtain DoD issued clearance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Familiarity with modern CAD tools such as Altium.
+ Experience with PCB design and RF components.
+ Knowledge in digital to analog design with RF components.
+ Understanding of FPGA verification and familiarity with FPGA development.
+ Experience with signal integrity and power integrity tools is desirable but not mandatory.
