Job Title: Engineer Guidance Navigation Control 3Job Description

Join a team where you will design, develop, implement, verify, and test algorithms and software for guidance, navigation, and control of various vehicles such as aircraft, spacecraft, submersibles, missiles, launch vehicles, and more. Engage in creating simulation tools for missions spanning from launch to orbital insertion and beyond. This role involves statistical processing of data for navigation, formulating guidance equations for desired positions, and developing control laws and requirements for hardware and software.

Responsibilities

+ Design, develop, and test algorithms and software for guidance, navigation, and control systems.

+ Create simulation tools for various vehicle missions, including aircraft and spacecraft.

+ Perform statistical processing of measured data points for navigation functions.

+ Formulate specific guidance equations to achieve desired positions, orientations, or orbits.

+ Develop control laws and hardware/software requirements for aircraft and spacecraft.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and C programming.

+ Experience in flight trajectory simulation using multi-degree of freedom simulators.

+ Ability to design and implement Guidance and Autopilot algorithms.

+ Real-Time Closed-Loop software testing expertise.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline with 9 years of experience, or a Master's with 7 years, or a PhD with 4 years of experience.

+ Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application.

+ Preferred: Master's or PhD in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.

+ Experience with real-time closed-loop software testing on flight representative hardware.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Chandler, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
