EHS Manager
Job Description
Join our team as an EHS Manager, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the implementation and coordination of health and safety policies within our plant. You will verify the development of site health and safety action plans, propose training plans, and enhance health and safety awareness. You will also advise and assist departments on health and safety-related issues, propose preventative measures, and ensure compliance of equipment and facilities.
Responsibilities
+ Develop and verify site health and safety action plans.
+ Propose and implement health and safety training plans in collaboration with Site HR Manager.
+ Advise and assist departments with daily health and safety-related issues.
+ Propose preventative measures and ensure compliance with equipment and facilities.
+ Organize management safety visits and participate in safety cross-audits.
+ Ensure effective operation of the Site Health, Safety, and Working Conditions Committee.
+ Manage prevention plans with technical services and organize emergency simulations.
+ Implement preventative systems for equipment and installations.
+ Promote a 'safety first' attitude across all work areas.
+ Support good housekeeping practices in all work and maintenance areas.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in health, safety, and environmental.
+ 3-5 years' experience in health, safety, and environment.
+ HSE qualification such as OSHA general certificate or equivalent.
+ In-depth knowledge of legislation (OSHA/EPA/DOT, air permitting) and procedures.
+ Working knowledge of H&S regulations and standards (OHSAS /ISO).
+ Ability to write accurate certification requests and regulatory reports.
+ Ability to identify workplace hazards and reduce accidents.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in safety techniques such as risk analysis, emergency, first aid, and fire prevention.
+ Ability to supervise equipment maintenance and training.

This position is set in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment with a strong emphasis on safety. You will have the opportunity to oversee one Safety Technician and be part of a global company with a robust organizational culture.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Columbia, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
