    Actalent is hiring for a Laboratory Technician in the Richmond, VA area!!

    Job Description

    Conducts chemical and physical laboratory tests and makes qualitative analysis of materials liquids and gases. May also set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation required for the tests research or process control. Must possess diploma or degree at the Associate or Bachelor level no experience required.

    Key Responsibilities

    Perform final review of initial screening data, including:

    + Instrument calibration

    + Control performance

    + Chain‑of‑custody documentation

    + Donor/sample data

    + Review analytical data from LC‑MS/MS, GC/MS, and GC‑FID systems.

    + Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as:

    + Sciex LC/MS/MS

    + Agilent GC/MS

    + Olympus screening instruments

    + Use analytical software including:

    + Sciex Analyst

    + MultiQuant

    + Agilent ChemStation

    + Assist with drug metabolism and immunoassay‑related testing.

    + Train new personnel as needed.

    + Provide support to Medical Review Officers regarding donor result interpretation.

    + Participate in legal testimony when required (common in toxicology labs).

    Qualifications

    + Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, forensic science, or related field.

    + Experience with analytical instrumentation (LC‑MS/MS, GC/MS) preferred.

    + Understanding of laboratory quality systems and chain‑of‑custody procedures.

    + Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

    + Ability to work in a regulated laboratory environment.

    This is a Contract position based out of Richmond, VA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
