Job Title: Cook

Job Description

As a cook, you will accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods, including Breakfast, Lunch, and Special/Catered Events. You will read and follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing various food items and may prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station.

Responsibilities

+ Prepare, portion, cook, and present various hot and cold food items.

+ Read and follow recipes and product directions.

+ Serve customers in an a la carte setting or operate a grill station.

+ Assist the manager with all kitchen operations.

Essential Skills

+ Food preparation expertise.

+ Ability to read recipes.

+ Customer service skills.

+ Computer skills.

+ Experience in food production and foodservice.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 2+ years of experience in a high producing kitchen.

+ Steady work history.

+ Culinary school experience is a plus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Whittier, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
