Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic IV** **Job Description

A large manufacturer seeks an experienced Maintenance Mechanic responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, or replacing machinery, fixtures, heating and air conditioning units, and physical property as per assigned work orders or directions.

Responsibilities

+ Repair and maintain company property as requested, performing complex repairs.

+ Inspect machinery and troubleshoot mechanical equipment for defects and safety performance issues, including guards and safety device functionality.

+ Dismantle, repair, and rebuild machinery and equipment.

+ Perform advanced electrical troubleshooting on machinery and equipment.

+ Maintain and repair heating and air conditioning units.

+ Order parts to complete work orders.

+ Perform regular preventive maintenance work orders.

+ Install pipe and tubing for compressed air, gas, water, and hydraulic lines.

+ Direct and work with contracted maintenance service technicians as needed.

+ Build and install special guards, fences, and support brackets.

+ Train production personnel on the proper use of equipment and daily operator preventive maintenance tasks.

+ Operate forklift, skyjack, floor sweeper, hoists, and wave.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum seven years of related experience and a trade school graduate or equivalent combination of skills and experience.

+ Advanced knowledge of robotic welding machines, CNC machines, and laser cutters.

+ Minimum two years of welding (wire fed/MIG) experience.

+ Ability to read blueprints/layouts and technical equipment repair manuals/bulletins.

+ Effective communication skills in English (speak, read, write, and understand).

+ Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicles.

+ Ability to operate a computer, including email and the maintenance work order system.

+ Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.

+ On-call availability and rotating night/weekend coverage required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Mechanically inclined with maintenance experience.

+ Willingness to learn and adapt.

+ Experience with hand tools and power tools.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
