    The Communication Disorders Center is expanding. We are seeking a new full-time Speech-Language Pathologist desiring diverse clinical opportunities in a fast-paced hospital setting. Caseload is primarily focused on the inpatient adult rehabilitation unit (but may include acute care and/or outpatient coverage). Primary job duties include diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients with speech-language, voice, cognitive, and/or swallowing disorders.

     

    Required qualifications: Master’s degree in Speech Pathology, NYS licensure in Speech Pathology, and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence. ASHA membership must be maintained annually. AHA Heartsaver CPR (or higher level) is required and may be obtained post-hire.

     

    The Speech-Language Pathologist provides evaluation, treatment and support for individuals with communication and/or swallowing disorders, aimed at the amelioration of difficulties stemming from such disorders. New York State Professional Licensing Standards and Practice Guidelines of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association guide the practice of the Speech-Language Pathologist.
