Behavior Technician – Now Hiring Service Areas: Compton • Cerritos • Torrance

Compensation: $21–$25 per hour, based on experience

Position Overview

Amergis Educational Services is seeking dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technicians to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide direct support to children and adults with developmental and behavioral needs, helping them build independence and achieve meaningful goals.

You’ll work closely with educators, therapists, and behavioral specialists to implement personalized strategies that promote learning, emotional regulation, and skill development. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact through one-on-one care and collaborative support.

Responsibilities

+ Deliver individualized behavioral and educational services in school and community settings

+ Support clients with autism and other developmental needs using evidence-based strategies

+ Monitor progress and contribute to treatment planning and goal refinement

+ Collaborate with school staff, families, and clinical teams to ensure consistent care

+ Promote independence, emotional regulation, and positive behavior

Minimum Requirements

+ High School diploma or equivalent (required)

+ At least 2 years of experience working with pediatric populations (preferred)

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)

+ Completion of TB screening (questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray)

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local compliance requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
