About the Role:
We areseeking a dedicated and student - centered School Behavior Technician to support thebehavioral, social - emotional, and academic success of students acrossschool settings. The Behavior Technician works under the supervision of aSchool Psychologist, Behavior Specialist, or EC Administrator to implementbehavior intervention plans, collect data, and provide direct support tostudents with behavioral or developmental needs.
Thisrole is essential in helping students build self - regulation skills,improve classroom engagement, and access their learning environmentsuccessfully.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide direct behavioral support to students individually or in small groups.
+ Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) with fidelity.
+ Assist in crisis prevention and de - escalation using approved strategies.
+ Collect and record behavioral data to support progress monitoring and team decision - making.
+ Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to promote positive behavior systems.
+ Support students in developing social - emotional skills, coping strategies, and self - management techniques.
+ Maintain confidentiality and comply with district, state, and federal guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
+ Experience working with children or adolescents in educational, behavioral, or therapeutic settings preferred.
+ Ability to implement behavior strategies and follow structured plans.
+ Strong communication, patience, and problem - solving skills.
+ Ability to remain calm and supportive during challenging situations.
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.
+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
+ CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
+ Crisis intervention training (preferred; training may be provided).
