Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide high-quality instructional services to students in grades K–12, with a primary caseload focused on High School Math/SPED. Under the guidance of the Special Education Program Administrator, the teacher will support students through specialized instruction, tutorial assistance, and collaboration with general education staff. This role is ideal for an educator committed to teamwork, student growth, and inclusive learning environments.
Responsibilities
+ Deliver specialized instruction aligned with student IEPs.
+ Participate in planning and implementing individualized student programs.
+ Provide tutorial support and collaborate with general education teachers.
+ Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.
+ Uphold professional standards of practice and accurate documentation.
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred.
+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by district/contract.
+ Minimum one year of teaching experience preferred.
+ Preferred certifications:
+ Standard Elementary Teaching
+ Standard Secondary Teaching
+ Standard Special Teaching
+ Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement preferred.
+ Math endorsement on AZ Dept. of Education license is REQUIRED.
+ Current CPR certification, if applicable.
+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if applicable.
+ Current Health Certificate (per state/contract).
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.
