    Apprentice Bartender The Strat (Las Vegas, NV)

    Description:

    Summary:Maintains stock of necessary beverages and other related bar supplies. Follows all operating procedures, safety regulations and Stratosphere policies and procedures.

    Essential Functions:

    + Deliver exceptional guest service as defined by Stratosphere

    + Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of work area, bar tops, floors and line equipment

    + Receive, issue and keep necessary records of liquor and other bar supplies

    + Assist bartenders with mixing and serving alcoholic beverages and/or non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and procedures

    + Refill and stock garnishes and glassware

    + Follow cash handling and Info Genesis POS procedures

    + Follow cash and comp procedures

    + Maintain appropriate sound and music levels as designated by management

    + Maintain appropriate television programming as designated by management

    + Performs other duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    + At least one year previous apprentice bartender experience within the past 3 years preferred

    + At least six months previous apprentice bartender experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience

    + Must have basic knowledge of common drink recipes within the industry

    + Ability to handle a cash bank

    + Excellent communication and guest service skills required

    + Ability to communicate effectively in English

    + High school diploma or equivalent preferred

    Physical Requirements

    + Walking, standing or stooping (75% of the time)

    + Ability to communicate via radios
