Location/Division Specific Information:
The Ward Hill, MA, facility is a part of Thermo Fisher’s Laboratory Chemical division and is responsible for shipping over 55,000 chemicals of various sizes and classifications to our customers! We employ over 125 full time team members, who rotate between three buildings located within half a mile of each other.
How Will You Make an Impact?:
As an Inventory Coordinator II, you will be responsible for unpacking and putting away various materials, including packaged chemicals, in our warehouse environment. You will perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
A Day in the Life:
+ Receive, unpack, and put away material, either manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, so it is available to be shipped to customers.
+ Pick material for production or transport between buildings in accordance with established procedures and site requirements.
+ Conduct daily physical inventory cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies. Pull expired/obsolete products from physical inventory for disposal.
+ Sustain a high level of quality to ensure products are accurately stored in the proper areas.
+ Safely operate distribution/warehouse equipment as required.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
+ Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or related field.
+ Preferred: Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers, pallet jacks, etc.).
+ Preferred: Experience with cycle counts and performing inventory audits and investigations.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
+ Ability to document records in English and communicate orally and in writing in English.
+ Intermediate computer knowledge (to navigate ERP systems, Outlook, MS Office programs) and basic math skills (addition, subtraction, etc.).
+ Interpersonal/customer service skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and internal customers.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
+ Ability to work in a warehouse environment under various temperatures, including cold room and/or freezer room.
+ Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment required): safety glasses, lab coat, safety shoes, and gloves.
+ Ability to lift/push/pull up to 40 pounds on a regular basis. Occasionally required to lift heavier weights with assistance.
+ Ability to handle hazardous chemicals in a safe manner.
+ Ability to stand for up to 8 hours, kneel, crouch, and walk.
+ Some overtime may be required.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $57,000.00–$80,000.00.
