Job Description

Summary

+ Work in a neat and orderly manner

+ Repair molds in accordance with Tool Shop Work Instructions

+ Work with more advanced associates to accomplish repairs

+ Work with a variety of associates within Berry to accomplish organized objectives

+ Tear down and assemble molds

+ Change core inserts & orifice sizes

+ Troubleshoot mold problems

+ Use precision tools and bench work

+ Understanding workings of molds

+ Clean Shop as needed

+ Be able to lead a repair operation and keep it moving toward completion

+ Analyze parts and plan repair procedures

+ Detect possible future problems or existing problems during the course of preventive maintenance

+ Follows applicable Food Safety and cGMP polices.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

+ Machine shop Mathematics (algebra, geometry, trigonometry)

+ Ability to run conventional machine shop machines (including CNC equipment)

+ Strong problem-solving skills

+ Good interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)

+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

+ Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Compensation

The starting salary for this position is expected to be between $5,000 to $52,500; however, base pay offered may vary within the full salary range $5,000 to $100,000 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on national averages and a geographic differential may be applied based on work location. Position may also be eligible for Amcor’s Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits.
