Patient Care and Prevention Facilities (PCPF) manages all MD Anderson buildings where cancer diagnosis, treatment and prevention programs are provided at both our Texas Medical Center Campus and community locations. PCPF facilitates world-class patient care with a safe, clean, effective and supportive environment.
This team is very cohesive with great leadership and a team first attitude.
The work schedule is Monday - Friday, 5pm-1:30am.
The hourly breakdown of the salary range is $18.00 - $20.54 - $23.08.
The ideal candidate will have housekeeping experience in a commercial setting, preferably in a hospital or clinic setting; ability to work independently and strong time management skills.

Performs cleaning, sanitation and housekeeping tasks per verbal and written work instructions.
*Key Functions*
Applies cleaning/housekeeping knowledge and skills to clean per given Work Instructions which may include:
Sweeping, mopping, trash removal, washing walls, floors ceilings and windows.
Operating electrical equipment such as vacuum cleaners and wet vacuum.
All surfaces are properly cleaned, products and equipment are removed and properly stored, and supplies are well stocked.
Must have proper coordination and motor skills in order to work with hand tools and electro-mechanical tools as job requires to perform assigned tasks.
Work in a bent or stooping position and occasionally crawl.
Learns and understands Service Level Agreements, departmental policies and procedures and carries them out through proper responses and quality outcomes to ensure customer satisfaction
Sets priorities and manages work and time through communication with team leader, team members and customers to satisfy their requests.
Monitors own area and inspect work completed.
Must be able to communicate with co-workers in a clear, pleasant, and understandable manner.
Verbal communication on an ongoing basis with customers to determine current status of deliverables and to learn about customer needs and Team members and Team Leader to identify needs for improvement.
Collaborative efforts by Team members to solve problems and deficiencies.
Must be able to work in a dusty environment, frequently in very cramped and unpleasant surroundings.
Some work may necessitate exposure to outside weather.
Must be able to walk from one area of the complex to another to visually inspect work to be performed.
Other duties as assigned.

* Preferred Experience**:** Knowledge of basic Housekeeping techniques in a hospital, commercial or industrial setting.
